I arrived in Beagle Point. This was a few weeks after the first of the DW2 fleet members arrived, but I was still here before the majority of that group. I was hoping to meet some of those people here, but the system was empty; nothing here but some lonely worlds and the tourist beacon.
I decided, that as long as I was out here near the edge of the galaxy, I wanted to see how far I could get. The gaps between the stars beyond Beagle Point are quite large! I think I managed to jump 3 or 4 more times before the next closer star was beyond my reach, even with FSD injections.
This put me in a system called Iorant JT-Z d13-0, 65,428.39 LY from Sol. It made me feel truly alone; not only because there are no signs of human civilization out here, but also because there were nearly no stars visible; just distant galaxies. There, off in the distance, was the bulk of the Milky Way, beckoning me to come back. The galaxy map said I was still in the Milky Way, but it certainly didn't look like it.
It was time to head home.
