January 16, 2019

I had been reading about a place called Jacques Station in a distant system called Colonia.  I decided I wanted to visit that station.  I started the journey on this day, following a route described on the Internet, which allowed the traveller to visit 16 stations and outposts along the way.

My Asp Explorer didn't have a much in the way of engineering modifications at that time, so it's jump range was only 50 LY.  It carried 128 tons of fuel, an SRV and was equipped with a fuel scoop.  Not a very good fuel, but what I could afford at that time.  As a result, if I waited until the tank was almost empty, it took me 12 minutes to refuel!

A ringed rocky body orbiting another ringed planet.

In these early days of exploration, I was still learning how to do everything.  I didn't bother to start recording the locations of my screenshots until later.

Close up to the rings.  I liked how the distant sun was shining across the rings.
