It had been a several months since the Distant Worlds 2 fleet had departed on their journey to Beagle Point via Sagittarius A*. I decided it was time for me to make my way to Beagle Point, because it seems to be right of passage for pilots in Elite: Dangerous.
There was a player who headed out to reach the distant edge of the galaxy. The day he reached this system, just over 63,000 LY from Sol, his dog (a beagle) died. He reported his loss to the on-line community and Frontier, the game developer, renamed the system Beagle Point and put a tourist beacon there to share the story with future pilots. I like when game developers do this sort of thing.
I didn't want to follow the path the DW2 fleet was taking. My first stop was to visit the Cat's Paw Nebula, which was sort of going in the wrong direction.
After visiting that and scanning some systems, I turned in the direction of the galactic core (more or less) and camped on Blu Euq KP-R c4-23 1 for the night.
